It has been a minute since I’ve done my nails…and that makes me very sad lol. With finals coming up and projects galore, I just haven’t had much desire to sit down and do them but that all changed. You know those days when you plan to do a million things, but you end up chilling at home? Yep, happened to me today. I had every intention of going out, but I stayed in and gave myself a spa day. Manicure, pedicure, facial…I got the works lol! Anywho, I wanted to do something that looked cool but didn’t take a whole lot of time since I do have some homework to finish up (booo!). Enter…this manicure! The colors remind me of the swamps/bayous back home lol but I am happy with the outcome…it literally took like 10 minutes to do. Thanks Sally Hansen for that quick dry polish!!

Speaking of her…remember a few weeks back when I did a post wearing this glitter polish? Well, let me tell you that it absolutely SUCKS! It doesn’t even last 24 hours without chipping – that is a major no no. I’ve tried it 3 times just to be sure it wasn’t a fluke and I have been disappointed each time. I’m going to try it on top of another color to see if that makes a difference…

For this you will need: your choice of colors, and makeup sponges cut into pieces

Apply your base coat (the one that will be seen towards the bottom of your nails)…

Next, using the sponge – dab your second color onto your nails starting about midway and moving towards the top of your nail. You will probably need to add more polish to the sponge once you get to the tips of your nails to make the color darker.
